Golf Hole Paintings

This listing is for a painting of your favorite golf hole(s) (unframed) in watercolor/gouache.

Golf hole paintings can also be done in other mediums (oil or acrylic paint on canvas). Please reach out to us to arrange a commission if you would like one done in oil or acrylic paint.

TIMELINE: Most golf paintings, once started, only take about 1 week to finish. However, there may be a waitlist before the painting can get started, and we can let you know the rough estimate of when we can get started on your painting. If you have a specific “need by date” please reach out to us, and we can let you know how many paintings are ahead of yours and if we can meet your deadline. Not always, but in certain cases, rush charges may apply.

WATERCOLOR/GOUACHE: These mediums create a softer, more “airy” looking painting. Gouache is basically a thicker, less transparent form of watercolor, and I often use this in my watercolor paintings, as well. These types of paintings can usually be done the quickest. These are done on a high quality watercolor paper or an artist panel (a flat board made specifically for art). These can be framed in standard frames.

FRAMING AND PAPER: 

Paintings will be done on watercolor paper and can be framed in most standard frames. Any painting that is done on paper should be framed under glass to help protect from moisture. Paintings are delivered with a mat border and protected from moisture by a plastic wrap.

When purchasing your own frame, I recommend putting these paintings in a frame that has a mat border (a 1-2 inch thick border that surrounds the painting). These come standard with many frames and will require a slightly larger frame than the painting. For example:

 A 5x7 painting with mat border will need an 8x10 frame

An 8x10 painting with a mat border will need an 11x14 frame

A 11x14 painting with a mat border will need a 16x20 frame

CONTACT INFO: Please include any pertinent contact information at checkout, so that the artist can contact you to discuss your piece and obtain photos from you, as well as an estimate of cost and start/completion times. If we are unable to contact you, the order will be canceled and your money refunded through the original payment method.

IMAGE OF GOLF HOLE: In order to paint the golf holes, the customer must provide at least one quality photo of each golf hole they would like painted (almost all smart phones today take high enough quality photos for this). 

RETURNS AND REFUNDS: Golf hole paintings are made to order just for you. After you place your order, we will reach out to you to get photo(s) and let you know an estimated start/completion date. If you need it by a certain date, please let us know. Your response time to these emails could effect when we are able to complete the painting(s). We will let you know if we can accomadate rush orders. Once the painting has been started, it is fully non-refundable. 

A payment helps secure your spot on the wait list for a commission. If a wait list is longer than 6 months, then commissions will be closed until the wait list can be cleared up.
